John 15.1. “I AM the true vine and My Father is the farmer. 2. He removes every branch in Me if it does not bear fruit, and He prunes every branch that bears fruit so that it would bear more fruit. 3. You are already pruned because of the Word which I have spoken to you: 4. you must now dwell in Me and I in you. Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit by itself unless it would remain in the vine, so you could not bear fruit unless you would dwell continuously in Me.
Daily scripture passages from The One New Man Bible
Thank you so much for your diligent study in bringing to us this new Bible! I do have one question… In Gen. 6, most translations reference the Nephilim as the wicked offspring from fallen angels who have taken human women as wives. This would explain why God had to totally destroy mankind with the flood with no possibility for redemption. Their DNA was corrupt. Even though the Book of Enoch was not canonized, it is generally accepted as historical and bears out the concept of the Nephilim. Even the animals had to be destroyed… Because they were hybrids? I would most appreciate your thoughts. Again thank you so much!!!
Hi Judy,
Thank you for writing. In Gen. 6 there is no mention of nephilim in the Hebrew text. Personally, I stick with Scripture and avoid other sources. Do not add to Scripture. Y’shua said in Matt. 22:29. Then Y’shua said to them, “You are misled, since you do not know either the Scriptures or the power of God: 30. for in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but they will be like angels in heaven.” Fallen angels would have the physical characteristics of their Heavenly counterparts. False gods, another possible translation, have no physical characteristics because they are only wood, stone, or some metal. That is why the proper translation is “leaders”.
